FAQ's: Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the Pre Course intended for?
The Pre Course is an interdisciplinary symposium intended for internists, internist nephrologists, cardio-vascular medical practitioners, transplant nephrologists, AIOs, NIOs and nursing specialists who consider vascular cardiology in relation to nephrology to be in their field.
How many people participate in the Pre Course?
Approximately 80 people participate in the physical symposium every year. In the virtual edition, on the other hand, the capacity of the room is unlimited.
What does the scientific program look like?
The scientific program consists of 3 interdisciplinary sessions that are intended for each target group.
Who decides what the scientific content of the symposium will look like?
The program is composed by a preparatory committee of 3 persons. These are medical and paramedical care professionals from the Nephrological field who, under the leadership of the board, weigh all suggestions for the program and place them where relevant in the program. One month after a symposium, the committee begins preparations for the following year.
Is accreditation requested for the Pre Course?
Yes! Accreditation is requested from the NFN, NVK, the VSR (for nursing specialists) and the NAPA (Physician Assistants).
When are the accreditation points credited?
The points will be credited within approx. 2 weeks after the end of the conference, provided you have met the following three conditions:
1. You have filled in your details completely upon registration, including BIG number or membership number if you do not have a BIG number and your correct surname (in accordance with the quality register),
2. You paid your registration fee in full at the start of the conference, and
3 You have been logged in for the entire period for which you have registered. Your presence is recorded on arrival and departure. If you log out of the symposium earlier or log in later, those lectures will not be included on your certificate. Check your credited accreditation points, they will be credited until February 1, 2021.
Why is my presence registered?
We register your login time and logout time. There are two reasons for this.
Firstly, the organization can then determine whether you have been present for the entire period for which you have registered. The accreditation committees only award points for full days of attendance. If you are not present all day (logged in too late or logged out too early), you are therefore not entitled to points simply because you have not fully followed the training. We are not allowed to raise points for untrained training hours.
Secondly, only those sessions will appear on your certificate of attendance that you have attended between the login and logout times, except that only those sessions that you have completed will be listed.
What is the main language of the Pre Course?
The sessions are presented in English.
How does the Pre Course handle the applicable codes of conduct?
We are particularly keen to comply with laws and regulations when it comes to the CGR, the GMH and the medicines law. The codes of conduct and the law contain provisions about, for example, the degree of hospitality, unwanted influence and favor. The IGJ monitors compliance with the codes of conduct and the law. Failure to comply with the guidelines can lead to sanctions with far-reaching consequences. It is therefore part of the duty of care of the Board of the Nephrology Days to protect everyone involved from sanctions of any kind.
Does the Pre Course have a privacy policy?
Yes, a privacy policy has been made mandatory under the provisions of the General Data Processing Regulation (GDPR). Under the menu button "General" you will find our privacy policy.
Do board members, committee members and/or employees receive compensation for their commitment to the Pre Course?
No, these people are completely selflessly committed to their colleagues in the country.
Can I register for the scientific committee or as a contributor of the Pre Course?
Naturally! We welcome any help. If you are interested, you can obtain detailed information from the Secretariat of the Nephrology Days. The contact details can be found elsewhere on this website.
Will I receive accreditation points as a member of the scientific committee or as a contributor?
Yes! You receive points, you do not have to pay registration fees and the Nephrology days pay for your presence.
